What is PTFE coating? what is difference between normal silicone or rubber o-ring and O-ring with PTFE coating?

PTFE, also known as Teflon, is commonly referred to as "non-stick coating" or "easy to clean material.
This material has excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance and is one of the best corrosion resistance materials in the world. It is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, PTFE has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, and its friction coefficient is extremely low, so it can be used as a lubricant for lubricating the inner layer of the water pipe.

Rubber O-rings play an important role in sealing the equipment, but sometimes it can cause problems in use.  Because it is easier to stick together, small and easy to lose.

Lubricating the seal before installation is not an easy task. Although it is easier to apply lubricating oil or talc to the seal, in just a short period of time, the lubricant will slip to the bottom, and there is almost no lubricant at the top of the seal, but it remains slimy at the bottom. Stains. At the same time, the use of too much lubricating oil poses safety and health problems, and the environmental impact on the residual lubricating oil and oil infiltrated pipes. The use of lubricating oil can cause the automatic equipment installation line to be blocked, resulting in higher maintenance costs and the cost of equipment downtime.

After the O-ring is installed in the equipment, the rubber or silicone O-ring seal needs to be in contact with solvents and other chemicals. These materials will corrode the rubber and reduce the sealing effect of the seal.
