A brief description of the O-ring:
The O-ring is a rubber ring with a circular interface and is the most widely used seal in liquid pneumatics.
O-ring features

O-ring sealing principle:
The O-ring seal is an extruded seal. When the seal produces initial deformation and stress Pseal, Pw>Pseal,
Will not leak.
Pm=Po+Pp, Pp=KxPo Pm=Po+KxP
K is the coefficient of pressure transmitted to the O-ring by the medium pressure (for rubber, K=1; for seamless steel pipe? Composite seal?)
Therefore, as long as the O-ring has an initial pressure, a leak-free absolute seal can be achieved. The O-ring seal is a self-sealing structure.
At the beginning of the O-ring mold design, first know it the application environment, material, shrinkage rate and other information of the O-ring, in order to accurately select the material, design the mold image of the O-ring
O-ring hardness:
Generally 30-90 Shore hardness, static seal selects low value 70SH, rotary seal takes high value 80
Very few use 30-60 or 90 shore A
