Different Electrical Fire Retardant HCR Silicone Rubber and Liquid Silicone Rubber
Oct 28,2024 | Industry News

What is HCR?
HCR stands for High Consistency Rubber or Heat-Cured Rubber. It is primarily formulated from gum, silica, plasticizers, and additives, providing a versatile material for various applications.

General Information
HCR Silicone Rubber exhibits exceptional thermal stability, withstanding temperatures up to 300°C and cold resistance down to -50°C. Some specialized grades can endure temperatures exceeding 300°C or as low as -120°C. It also possesses excellent electrical properties, making it suitable for diverse applications.

 Typical Properties
- Hardness:20~80 Shore A
- Mechanical Strength: 7~10 MPa
- Elongation: 200~800%
- Tear Strength: 15~40 N/mm

Processability
HCR is processed through kneader mixing, followed by color and catalyst addition on a 2-roll mill, and filtration.
